Pizza Time!

Q1 2021

University Year 2 - Junior Collabs

Pizza Time is a unique project idea summoned into existence by a team of 14 students in our collaborative module. My personal role on the team was as a Game Designer, but later expanded into soundtrack development.

 

The premise is that you control a flying pizza character sent out from a local chef to find the ingredients and bonuses needed to satisfy your customer! But it's not so easy in a bustling city with tight turns and gulls on the prowl...

A theme as kooky as this came to realisation after plonking a dozen young and aspiring game design students together and just two weeks to outline an initial blockout.

During the first week we were tasked to brainstorm multiple game ideas and pick just two to turn into simple demos to present on the Friday. I was a big hand during this planning phase, resourcefully taking to my digital pencil to help visualise and further develop ideas spitballed by the team!

Bonus Concept

The other prototype we whipped up in the initial planning week was an idea of my own, inspired by the Garry's mod gamemode 'Prop Hunt'. The premise was that of the job of a prop hunter- or should I say: mimic hunter!
