This was my first unique project in Unreal Engine. As part of the class, I was tasked to design and implement a first-person puzzle shooter. Being that this was the first semester of the first year, our goal was to develop a simple first-person puzzle game using Unreal Engine and blueprint scripting. My idea was to base the character's abilities around varying states of the element of water.
Initial gameplay idea sketching including the three firing modes present in the final project, as well as the ability to pass through semi-solid objects by transforming into liquid. Different firing modes using the Flux Cannon offer different solutions to puzzles designed throughout the level.
Final map design with unlock points as well as an intensity heat map showing off how difficult certain sections of gameplay are.
